Assistant Executive Housekeeper
JOB PURPOSE
Assists Executive Housekeeper directing, controlling and co-ordinating all Housekeeping activities ensuring that the hotel’s financial objectives and guest expectation are met.
KEY RESULT AREAS:
1. Directs and co-ordinates housekeeping staff to ensure that all day to day operation matters are performed on time and according to guests expectations.
2. Co-ordinates with Front Office to ensure that all rooms are cleaned and turned down according to guest requirements; she also supervises vacant rooms to clean them in time for new arrivals.
3. Supervises service procedures, cleaning, hygiene and maintenance standards, check employee appearances and manning hotel’s standards are in order and takes appropriate action where necessary.
4. Assists in supervising the Laundry, uniforms area, gardening and minibars ensuring that procedures and hotel’s standards are accurately followed.
5. Assists in inventory control, purchasing and lost and found system.
6. Assists in ensuring the efficient administration of the department.
7. Assists in hiring, training and evaluation of subordinate employees.
